Dear MYHA Community:

Happy Sunday on this fine August day.

Time to gear up… as hockey is on! The puck will drop at Lynn Rink with a target open date of Aug., 31st.  FMC will be making ice this week. The VHL is also ready to roll as well with scheduled games starting for us as early as the weekend of Sept., 12.

As such, we are in major hustle mode back checking  from our contingency plans and working to hold tryouts on Sept., 1 and 2 for Bantams and Pee Wees and Sept., 8 and 9 for Squirts and Mites. Stay tuned for calendar updates, times, and notifications.
Our mission this season will be straightforward:

Family and participant health first. Let’s keep our collective eyes on this puck above all and where it’s going.

1.     As a hockey community, we will follow all protocols in line with Massachusetts and FMC facilities to ensure the successful return to the rinks for all (if you do not feel you can comply and role model all required health safety protocols – wearing face coverings, one parent per participant, no siblings at the rink etc… please consider other options).

2.     Deliver as normal as possible a hockey experience to our participants in our dynamic health-centric environment.

3.     Offer our participants structured practices and exercise, a social outlet, and hockey competition in a non-contact format – enjoy our great game of hockey.

So check your equipment, wash those jerseys, sharpen your skates, tape up the sticks, make an appointment with the SportShop, and we will see you in the parking lots and your participants in the barns and on the ice soon.
